PURCHSING AGENT $21 - $23 HR Duties & Responsibilities • Purchase goods and services according to the company’s policies and procedures. • Coordinate with managers to maintain inventory levels. • Evaluate vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history. • Work with vendors to negotiate volume and payment term discounts, and other available discounts. • Ensure that purchasing documents are complete and accurate and include appropriate and reasonable terms and conditions. • Maintain pricing history and vendor record files. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills & Abilities • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with good negotiation skills. • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Thorough understanding of purchasing procedures and policies. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education & Experience • Purchasing experience required. • Bachelors degree in related field is a plus. Physical Requirements • Prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer. • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time. • Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine purchasing needs.
